(CEV) In fact, I don't understand why I act the way I do. I don't do what I know is right. I do the things I hate.
(ITB) Sebab apa yang aku perbuat, aku tidak tahu. Karena bukan apa yang aku kehendaki yang aku perbuat, tetapi apa yang aku benci, itulah yang aku perbuat.
(KJVR) For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
(NIV) I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
(NKJV) For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do."
hal ini terjadi juga di hidup ku. Seperti orang munafik, yang melakukan hal-hal rohani tetapi sebagian besar malah melakukan perbuatan daging dan kalah. Ironis, tetapi kenyataan yang ga bisa dipungkiri. Apa iini terjadi dengan semuanya?saya tidak tau, yang saya tau sekarang, hati ini miris, tidak bisa untuk tidak melakukan dosa, sesuatu yang ku benci dan jijik, tetap terbawa. Ada apa ini?Semakin berusaha keras, saya semakin terperosok. Mungkin terlihat di depan banyak orang kuat dan rohani tetapi sebenarnya rapuh dan banyak luka.
Apakah ini iniquity?it can be. But how can i win?benar2, mesti terus berusaha.tetapi saya akan lanjut baca perikop dari Roma 7 ini.
Rom 7:4
(CEV) That is how it is with you, my friends. You are now part of the body of Christ and are dead to the power of the Law. You are free to belong to Christ, who was raised to life so that we could serve God.
(ITB) Sebab itu, saudara-saudaraku, kamu juga telah mati bagi hukum Taurat oleh tubuh Kristus, supaya kamu menjadi milik orang lain, yaitu milik Dia, yang telah dibangkitkan dari antara orang mati, agar kita berbuah bagi Allah.
(KJVR) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
(NIV) So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, tohim who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
(NKJV) Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
pada ayat ke-4 saya melihat ada kaitannya dengan law (taurat), kuasa kebangkitan Tuhan, persekutuan, berbuah dalam sgala aspek.

Rom 7:5
(CEV) When we thought only of ourselves, the Law made us have sinful desires. It made every part of our bodies into slaves who are doomed to die.
(ITB) Sebab waktu kita masih hidup di dalam daging, hawa nafsu dosa, yang dirangsang oleh hukum Taurat, bekerja dalam anggota-anggota tubuh kita, agar kita berbuah bagi maut.
(KJVR) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
(NIV) For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death.
(NKJV) For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
di ayat ini mulai terlihat lebih jelas...bahwa kalo gua masih hidup dalam daging yah ada nature alias alamiah dari dosa yang mengontrol atau bisa dibilang motion atau dorongan-dorongan yang bersumber dari hukum taurat (law). tetapi dari manakah asal nature of sinful ini?Sepertinya sangat berbahaya karena akan berbuah pada kematian.
Rom 7:6
(CEV) But the Law no longer rules over us. We are like dead people, and it cannot have any power over us. Now we can serve God in a new way by obeying his Spirit, and not in the old way by obeying the written Law.
(ITB) Tetapi sekarang kita telah dibebaskan dari hukum Taurat, sebab kita telah mati bagi dia, yang mengurung kita, sehingga kita sekarang melayani dalam keadaan baru menurut Roh dan bukan dalam keadaan lama menurut huruf hukum Taurat.
(KJVR) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
(NIV) But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
(NKJV) But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
Pada ayat ini dikatakan bahwa kita telah mati oleh Kristus dan tidak ada 1 kuasa taurat atau nature of sinful yang dapat bekerja lagi, tetapi kenapa tetap bisa jatuh bangun dan bahkan melakukan hal-hal yang tidak mau dilakukan? Apakah Paulus salah menulis ayat?sepertinya tidak, ayo check lagi...
Rom 7:7
(CEV) Does this mean that the Law is sinful? Certainly not! But if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin is really like. For example, I would not have known what it means to want something that belongs to someone else, unless the Law had told me not to do that.
(ITB) Jika demikian, apakah yang hendak kita katakan? Apakah hukum Taurat itu dosa? Sekali-kali tidak! Sebaliknya, justru oleh hukum Taurat aku telah mengenal dosa. Karena aku juga tidak tahu apa itu keinginan, kalau hukum Taurat tidak mengatakan: "Jangan mengingini!"
(KJVR) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
(NIV) What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."
(NKJV) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
Pada ayat ini dituliskan bahwa taurat berfungsi agar kita tau dosa itu seperti apa dan mengarahkan untuk tidak melakukan dosa, tetapi kenapa terlihat kontradiksi yah dengan ayat-ayat sebelumnya?

Rm7:8-14
(CEV):
Rom 7:8 It was sin that used this command as a way of making me have all kinds of desires. But without the Law, sin is dead.
Rom 7:9 Before I knew about the Law, I was alive. But as soon as I heard that command, sin came to life,
Rom 7:10 and I died. The very command that was supposed to bring life to me, instead brought death.
Rom 7:11 Sin used this command to trick me, and because of it I died.
Rom 7:12 Still, the Law and its commands are holy and correct and good.
Rom 7:13 Am I saying that something good caused my death? Certainly not! It was sin that killed me by using something good. Now we can see how terrible and evil sin really is.
Rom 7:14 We know that the Law is spiritual. But I am merely a human, and I have been sold as a slave to sin.
(ITB):
Rom 7:8 Tetapi dalam perintah itu dosa mendapat kesempatan untuk membangkitkan di dalam diriku rupa-rupa keinginan; sebab tanpa hukum Taurat dosa mati.
Rom 7:9 Dahulu aku hidup tanpa hukum Taurat. Akan tetapi sesudah datang perintah itu, dosa mulai hidup,
Rom 7:10 sebaliknya aku mati. Dan perintah yang seharusnya membawa kepada hidup, ternyata bagiku justru membawa kepada kematian.
Rom 7:11 Sebab dalam perintah itu, dosa mendapat kesempatan untuk menipu aku dan oleh perintah itu ia membunuh aku.
Rom 7:12 Jadi hukum Taurat adalah kudus, dan perintah itu juga adalah kudus, benar dan baik.
Rom 7:13 Jika demikian, adakah yang baik itu menjadi kematian bagiku? Sekali-kali tidak! Tetapi supaya nyata, bahwa ia adalah dosa, maka dosa mempergunakan yang baik untuk mendatangkan kematian bagiku, supaya oleh perintah itu dosa lebih nyata lagi keadaannya sebagai dosa.
Rom 7:14 Sebab kita tahu, bahwa hukum Taurat adalah rohani, tetapi aku bersifat daging, terjual di bawah kuasa dosa.
(KJVR):
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
(NIV):
Rom 7:8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead.
Rom 7:9 Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
Rom 7:10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.
Rom 7:12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.
Rom 7:13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
Rom 7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
(NKJV):
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.

Rom 7:12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Dari ayat ke-8 sampai 14 dapat ditangkap bahwa sebenarnya :
1. Taurat bersifat rohani, kudus, menyatakan keadilan, kebenaran.
2. Manusia itu bersifat daging
3. Dosa muncul karena kita melihat dari sisi tidak melakukan sesuatu yang jahat agar sesuai Firman
4. Berusaha sekuat apapun sebagai daging kita mati alias kalah
5. Hanya karena kuasa kematian Kristus di atas kayu salib, kita mati dan karena kebangkitan-Nya kita jadi hidup.
- Dari point no.5 kita bisa melihat bahwa kuncinya alami kuasa kematian dan kebangkitan dari Kristus. Kenapa?karena dosa itu berada dalam daging dan telah menyatu.
Kalau begitu dari mana dosa itu bisa muncul?kenapa bisa ada di dalam daging?Pada hal kan saya mencoba sesuai Firman Tuhan yaitu tidak berbuat ini dan itu. hmmmmm, lets think...
Ayat 17-25:
(NKJV):
Rom 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
Rom 7:16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
(ITB):
Rom 7:15 Sebab apa yang aku perbuat, aku tidak tahu. Karena bukan apa yang aku kehendaki yang aku perbuat, tetapi apa yang aku benci, itulah yang aku perbuat.
Rom 7:16 Jadi jika aku perbuat apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, aku menyetujui, bahwa hukum Taurat itu baik.
Rom 7:17 Kalau demikian bukan aku lagi yang memperbuatnya, tetapi dosa yang ada di dalam aku.
Rom 7:18 Sebab aku tahu, bahwa di dalam aku, yaitu di dalam aku sebagai manusia, tidak ada sesuatu yang baik. Sebab kehendak memang ada di dalam aku, tetapi bukan hal berbuat apa yang baik.
Rom 7:19 Sebab bukan apa yang aku kehendaki, yaitu yang baik, yang aku perbuat, melainkan apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, yaitu yang jahat, yang aku perbuat.
Rom 7:20 Jadi jika aku berbuat apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, maka bukan lagi aku yang memperbuatnya, tetapi dosa yang diam di dalam aku.
Rom 7:21 Demikianlah aku dapati hukum ini: jika aku menghendaki berbuat apa yang baik, yang jahat itu ada padaku.
Rom 7:22 Sebab di dalam batinku aku suka akan hukum Allah,
Rom 7:23 tetapi di dalam anggota-anggota tubuhku aku melihat hukum lain yang berjuang melawan hukum akal budiku dan membuat aku menjadi tawanan hukum dosa yang ada di dalam anggota-anggota tubuhku.
Rom 7:24 Aku, manusia celaka! Siapakah yang akan melepaskan aku dari tubuh maut ini?
Rom 7:25 Syukur kepada Allah! oleh Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita. (7-26) Jadi dengan akal budiku aku melayani hukum Allah, tetapi dengan tubuh insaniku aku melayani hukum dosa.
(CEV):
Rom 7:15 In fact, I don't understand why I act the way I do. I don't do what I know is right. I do the things I hate.
Rom 7:16 Although I don't do what I know is right, I agree that the Law is good.
Rom 7:17 So I am not the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
Rom 7:18 I know that my selfish desires won't let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot.
Rom 7:19 Instead of doing what I know is right, I do wrong.
Rom 7:20 And so, if I don't do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
Rom 7:21 The Law has shown me that something in me keeps me from doing what I know is right.
Rom 7:22 With my whole heart I agree with the Law of God.
Rom 7:23 But in every part of me I discover something fighting against my mind, and it makes me a prisoner of sin that controls everything I do.
Rom 7:24 What a miserable person I am. Who will rescue me from this body that is doomed to die?
Rom 7:25 Thank God! Jesus Christ will rescue me. So with my mind I serve the Law of God, although my selfish desires make me serve the law of sin.
(NIV):
Rom 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
Rom 7:16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.
Rom 7:17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.
Rom 7:18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
Rom 7:19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
Rom 7:21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
Rom 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God's law;
Rom 7:23 but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
Rom 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
Rom 7:25 Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.
(KJVR):

Ternyata Paulus pun mengalami hal yang sama seperti yang saya alami, bahwa saya menjadi tawanan tubuh senddir, yang mana pada pikiran saya melayani Allah, tetapi tubuh malah menuntun saya pada perbuatan dosa. Pergumulan ini tidaklah mudah, makanya Paulus menulis hal ini. Kunci utama adalah tinggal dalam Kristus.
Saya percaya bahwa sumber pergumulan ini adalah iniquity yang turun terus dari Adam dan Hawa, hal ini sudah berumur ribuan tahun, tetapi Tuhan Yesus tidak ada iniquity, makanya Ia tidak mengalami pergumulan ini. Tetapi Tuhan juga pernah dicobai dan Ia pun mengalami tarikan kejahatan daging, yang mana telah dikuasai dosa, tetapi krn Ia tidak ada iniquity dan hdp dalam kuasa Bapa makanya Ia menang.
pastinya perjuangan yang berat ini harus terus dihadapi, tidak ada kata mundur. Lawan iniquity yang menguasai tubuh, kendalikan pikiran dan tubuh, walau susah, pastinya ada anugrah. Saya yain Tuhan akan menolong! Hal lainnya yang Tuhan ingatkan adalah perjamuan kudus. Tuhan Yesus pernah mengatakan agar itu dilakukan sebagai peringatan akan Ia. Saya percaya bahwa itu tidak cuma sebagai memory saja, tetapi there's a wonderful power.
Kuasa kematian dan kebangkitan Kristus adalah the ancient power yang dibutuhkan oleh banyak orang. Tuk dilepaskan dari tubuh maut dan menang dari iniquity. Hal ini pastinya saya bisa alami kalau saya merenungkan karya salib, melakukan perjamuan kudus, serta konfes tentang kuasa ini. Selain itu yang tadi saya diingatkan adalah mengalami pembaharuan budi.
Rom 12:2
(CEV) Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to Him.
(ITB) Janganlah kamu menjadi serupa dengan dunia ini, tetapi berubahlah oleh pembaharuan budimu,sehingga kamu dapat membedakan manakah kehendak Allah: apa yang baik, yang berkenan kepada Allah dan yang sempurna.
(KJVR) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that yemay prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
(NKJV) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, thatyou may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Rom 12:3
(CEV) I realize how kind God has been to me, and so I tell each of you not to think you are better than you really are.Use good sense and measure yourself by the amount of faith that God has given you.
(ITB) Berdasarkan kasih karunia yang dianugerahkan kepadaku, aku berkata kepada setiap orang di antara kamu: Janganlah kamu memikirkan hal-hal yang lebih tinggi dari pada yang patut kamu pikirkan, tetapi hendaklah kamuberpikir begitu rupa, sehingga kamu menguasai diri menurut ukuran iman, yang dikaruniakan Allahkepada kamu masing-masing.
(KJVR) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
(NIV) For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has givenyou.
(NKJV) For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Pastinya berubah dalam pembaruan budi sesuai dengan ukuran anugrah dan iman kita pribadi yang dapat diukur. pembaruan budi berlangsung senantiasa, pastinya tidak bisa lagi menggunakan hikmat dunia dan pola pikir dunia, berubah, keluar dari lingkungan yang membuat kita terus seperti ini dan tidak pernah bisa maksimal, pasti bisa.harus tegas berkata tidak. ada anugrah dan iman yang telah diukurkan kepada kita tuk melewati ini semua.
Jadi teringat kisah "Cara membersihkan sampah dari sumur yang dalam"
Sumur yang kotor dalamnya agar bisa dibersihkan hanya dengan cara menuang air bersih ke dalam airnya sampai air meluap dari sumur dan mengeluarkan semua kotorannya.
Hal tersebut berarti renungkan semua Firman dan pikiran yang sesuai Filipi 4:8

(CEV) Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
(ITB) Jadi akhirnya, saudara-saudara, semua yang benar, semua yang mulia, semua yang adil, semua yang suci, semua yang manis, semua yang sedap didengar, semua yang disebut kebajikan dan patut dipuji, pikirkanlah semuanya itu.
(KJVR) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
(NIV) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
(NKJV) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Jadi akhir kata, terus semangat tuk berjuang dari iniquity sampai mengalami kuasa kebangkitan seutuhnya dan menyatakan semuanya dalam doa dan pengucapan syukur. Buat teman-teman yang mengalami hal ini juga. ciayo.ganbatte! kita pasti bisa! Tetap semangat para pahlawan Allah!

Rom 7:4
(CEV) That is how it is with you, my friends. You are now part of the body of Christ and are dead to the power of the Law. You are free to belong to Christ, who was raised to life so that we could serve God.
(ITB) Sebab itu, saudara-saudaraku, kamu juga telah mati bagi hukum Taurat oleh tubuh Kristus, supaya kamu menjadi milik orang lain, yaitu milik Dia, yang telah dibangkitkan dari antara orang mati, agar kita berbuah bagi Allah.
(KJVR) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
(NIV) So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, tohim who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
(NKJV) Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
pada ayat ke-4 saya melihat ada kaitannya dengan law (taurat), kuasa kebangkitan Tuhan, persekutuan, berbuah dalam sgala aspek.

Rom 7:5
(CEV) When we thought only of ourselves, the Law made us have sinful desires. It made every part of our bodies into slaves who are doomed to die.
(ITB) Sebab waktu kita masih hidup di dalam daging, hawa nafsu dosa, yang dirangsang oleh hukum Taurat, bekerja dalam anggota-anggota tubuh kita, agar kita berbuah bagi maut.
(KJVR) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
(NIV) For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death.
(NKJV) For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
di ayat ini mulai terlihat lebih jelas...bahwa kalo gua masih hidup dalam daging yah ada nature alias alamiah dari dosa yang mengontrol atau bisa dibilang motion atau dorongan-dorongan yang bersumber dari hukum taurat (law). tetapi dari manakah asal nature of sinful ini?Sepertinya sangat berbahaya karena akan berbuah pada kematian.
Rom 7:6
(CEV) But the Law no longer rules over us. We are like dead people, and it cannot have any power over us. Now we can serve God in a new way by obeying his Spirit, and not in the old way by obeying the written Law.
(ITB) Tetapi sekarang kita telah dibebaskan dari hukum Taurat, sebab kita telah mati bagi dia, yang mengurung kita, sehingga kita sekarang melayani dalam keadaan baru menurut Roh dan bukan dalam keadaan lama menurut huruf hukum Taurat.
(KJVR) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
(NIV) But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
(NKJV) But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
Pada ayat ini dikatakan bahwa kita telah mati oleh Kristus dan tidak ada 1 kuasa taurat atau nature of sinful yang dapat bekerja lagi, tetapi kenapa tetap bisa jatuh bangun dan bahkan melakukan hal-hal yang tidak mau dilakukan? Apakah Paulus salah menulis ayat?sepertinya tidak, ayo check lagi...
Rom 7:7
(CEV) Does this mean that the Law is sinful? Certainly not! But if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin is really like. For example, I would not have known what it means to want something that belongs to someone else, unless the Law had told me not to do that.
(ITB) Jika demikian, apakah yang hendak kita katakan? Apakah hukum Taurat itu dosa? Sekali-kali tidak! Sebaliknya, justru oleh hukum Taurat aku telah mengenal dosa. Karena aku juga tidak tahu apa itu keinginan, kalau hukum Taurat tidak mengatakan: "Jangan mengingini!"
(KJVR) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
(NIV) What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."
(NKJV) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."
Pada ayat ini dituliskan bahwa taurat berfungsi agar kita tau dosa itu seperti apa dan mengarahkan untuk tidak melakukan dosa, tetapi kenapa terlihat kontradiksi yah dengan ayat-ayat sebelumnya?

Rm7:8-14
(CEV):
Rom 7:8 It was sin that used this command as a way of making me have all kinds of desires. But without the Law, sin is dead.
Rom 7:9 Before I knew about the Law, I was alive. But as soon as I heard that command, sin came to life,
Rom 7:10 and I died. The very command that was supposed to bring life to me, instead brought death.
Rom 7:11 Sin used this command to trick me, and because of it I died.
Rom 7:12 Still, the Law and its commands are holy and correct and good.
Rom 7:13 Am I saying that something good caused my death? Certainly not! It was sin that killed me by using something good. Now we can see how terrible and evil sin really is.
Rom 7:14 We know that the Law is spiritual. But I am merely a human, and I have been sold as a slave to sin.
(ITB):
Rom 7:8 Tetapi dalam perintah itu dosa mendapat kesempatan untuk membangkitkan di dalam diriku rupa-rupa keinginan; sebab tanpa hukum Taurat dosa mati.
Rom 7:9 Dahulu aku hidup tanpa hukum Taurat. Akan tetapi sesudah datang perintah itu, dosa mulai hidup,
Rom 7:10 sebaliknya aku mati. Dan perintah yang seharusnya membawa kepada hidup, ternyata bagiku justru membawa kepada kematian.
Rom 7:11 Sebab dalam perintah itu, dosa mendapat kesempatan untuk menipu aku dan oleh perintah itu ia membunuh aku.
Rom 7:12 Jadi hukum Taurat adalah kudus, dan perintah itu juga adalah kudus, benar dan baik.
Rom 7:13 Jika demikian, adakah yang baik itu menjadi kematian bagiku? Sekali-kali tidak! Tetapi supaya nyata, bahwa ia adalah dosa, maka dosa mempergunakan yang baik untuk mendatangkan kematian bagiku, supaya oleh perintah itu dosa lebih nyata lagi keadaannya sebagai dosa.
Rom 7:14 Sebab kita tahu, bahwa hukum Taurat adalah rohani, tetapi aku bersifat daging, terjual di bawah kuasa dosa.

Rom 7:13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
Rom 7:14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.
(NKJV):

Dari ayat ke-8 sampai 14 dapat ditangkap bahwa sebenarnya :
1. Taurat bersifat rohani, kudus, menyatakan keadilan, kebenaran.
2. Manusia itu bersifat daging
3. Dosa muncul karena kita melihat dari sisi tidak melakukan sesuatu yang jahat agar sesuai Firman
4. Berusaha sekuat apapun sebagai daging kita mati alias kalah
5. Hanya karena kuasa kematian Kristus di atas kayu salib, kita mati dan karena kebangkitan-Nya kita jadi hidup.
- Dari point no.5 kita bisa melihat bahwa kuncinya alami kuasa kematian dan kebangkitan dari Kristus. Kenapa?karena dosa itu berada dalam daging dan telah menyatu.
Kalau begitu dari mana dosa itu bisa muncul?kenapa bisa ada di dalam daging?Pada hal kan saya mencoba sesuai Firman Tuhan yaitu tidak berbuat ini dan itu. hmmmmm, lets think...
Ayat 17-25:
(NKJV):
Rom 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
Rom 7:16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
(ITB):
Rom 7:15 Sebab apa yang aku perbuat, aku tidak tahu. Karena bukan apa yang aku kehendaki yang aku perbuat, tetapi apa yang aku benci, itulah yang aku perbuat.
Rom 7:16 Jadi jika aku perbuat apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, aku menyetujui, bahwa hukum Taurat itu baik.
Rom 7:17 Kalau demikian bukan aku lagi yang memperbuatnya, tetapi dosa yang ada di dalam aku.
Rom 7:18 Sebab aku tahu, bahwa di dalam aku, yaitu di dalam aku sebagai manusia, tidak ada sesuatu yang baik. Sebab kehendak memang ada di dalam aku, tetapi bukan hal berbuat apa yang baik.
Rom 7:19 Sebab bukan apa yang aku kehendaki, yaitu yang baik, yang aku perbuat, melainkan apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, yaitu yang jahat, yang aku perbuat.
Rom 7:20 Jadi jika aku berbuat apa yang tidak aku kehendaki, maka bukan lagi aku yang memperbuatnya, tetapi dosa yang diam di dalam aku.
Rom 7:21 Demikianlah aku dapati hukum ini: jika aku menghendaki berbuat apa yang baik, yang jahat itu ada padaku.
Rom 7:22 Sebab di dalam batinku aku suka akan hukum Allah,
Rom 7:23 tetapi di dalam anggota-anggota tubuhku aku melihat hukum lain yang berjuang melawan hukum akal budiku dan membuat aku menjadi tawanan hukum dosa yang ada di dalam anggota-anggota tubuhku.
Rom 7:24 Aku, manusia celaka! Siapakah yang akan melepaskan aku dari tubuh maut ini?
Rom 7:25 Syukur kepada Allah! oleh Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita. (7-26) Jadi dengan akal budiku aku melayani hukum Allah, tetapi dengan tubuh insaniku aku melayani hukum dosa.
(CEV):
Rom 7:15 In fact, I don't understand why I act the way I do. I don't do what I know is right. I do the things I hate.
Rom 7:16 Although I don't do what I know is right, I agree that the Law is good.
Rom 7:17 So I am not the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
Rom 7:18 I know that my selfish desires won't let me do anything that is good. Even when I want to do right, I cannot.
Rom 7:19 Instead of doing what I know is right, I do wrong.
Rom 7:20 And so, if I don't do what I know is right, I am no longer the one doing these evil things. The sin that lives in me is what does them.
Rom 7:21 The Law has shown me that something in me keeps me from doing what I know is right.
Rom 7:22 With my whole heart I agree with the Law of God.
Rom 7:23 But in every part of me I discover something fighting against my mind, and it makes me a prisoner of sin that controls everything I do.
Rom 7:24 What a miserable person I am. Who will rescue me from this body that is doomed to die?
Rom 7:25 Thank God! Jesus Christ will rescue me. So with my mind I serve the Law of God, although my selfish desires make me serve the law of sin.
(NIV):

Rom 7:21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.
Rom 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God's law;
Rom 7:23 but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.
Rom 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?
Rom 7:25 Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Ternyata Paulus pun mengalami hal yang sama seperti yang saya alami, bahwa saya menjadi tawanan tubuh senddir, yang mana pada pikiran saya melayani Allah, tetapi tubuh malah menuntun saya pada perbuatan dosa. Pergumulan ini tidaklah mudah, makanya Paulus menulis hal ini. Kunci utama adalah tinggal dalam Kristus.
Saya percaya bahwa sumber pergumulan ini adalah iniquity yang turun terus dari Adam dan Hawa, hal ini sudah berumur ribuan tahun, tetapi Tuhan Yesus tidak ada iniquity, makanya Ia tidak mengalami pergumulan ini. Tetapi Tuhan juga pernah dicobai dan Ia pun mengalami tarikan kejahatan daging, yang mana telah dikuasai dosa, tetapi krn Ia tidak ada iniquity dan hdp dalam kuasa Bapa makanya Ia menang.
pastinya perjuangan yang berat ini harus terus dihadapi, tidak ada kata mundur. Lawan iniquity yang menguasai tubuh, kendalikan pikiran dan tubuh, walau susah, pastinya ada anugrah. Saya yain Tuhan akan menolong! Hal lainnya yang Tuhan ingatkan adalah perjamuan kudus. Tuhan Yesus pernah mengatakan agar itu dilakukan sebagai peringatan akan Ia. Saya percaya bahwa itu tidak cuma sebagai memory saja, tetapi there's a wonderful power.
Kuasa kematian dan kebangkitan Kristus adalah the ancient power yang dibutuhkan oleh banyak orang. Tuk dilepaskan dari tubuh maut dan menang dari iniquity. Hal ini pastinya saya bisa alami kalau saya merenungkan karya salib, melakukan perjamuan kudus, serta konfes tentang kuasa ini. Selain itu yang tadi saya diingatkan adalah mengalami pembaharuan budi.
Rom 12:2
(CEV) Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to Him.
(ITB) Janganlah kamu menjadi serupa dengan dunia ini, tetapi berubahlah oleh pembaharuan budimu,sehingga kamu dapat membedakan manakah kehendak Allah: apa yang baik, yang berkenan kepada Allah dan yang sempurna.
(KJVR) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that yemay prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
(NKJV) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, thatyou may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Rom 12:3
(CEV) I realize how kind God has been to me, and so I tell each of you not to think you are better than you really are.Use good sense and measure yourself by the amount of faith that God has given you.
(ITB) Berdasarkan kasih karunia yang dianugerahkan kepadaku, aku berkata kepada setiap orang di antara kamu: Janganlah kamu memikirkan hal-hal yang lebih tinggi dari pada yang patut kamu pikirkan, tetapi hendaklah kamuberpikir begitu rupa, sehingga kamu menguasai diri menurut ukuran iman, yang dikaruniakan Allahkepada kamu masing-masing.
(KJVR) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
(NIV) For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has givenyou.
(NKJV) For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Pastinya berubah dalam pembaruan budi sesuai dengan ukuran anugrah dan iman kita pribadi yang dapat diukur. pembaruan budi berlangsung senantiasa, pastinya tidak bisa lagi menggunakan hikmat dunia dan pola pikir dunia, berubah, keluar dari lingkungan yang membuat kita terus seperti ini dan tidak pernah bisa maksimal, pasti bisa.harus tegas berkata tidak. ada anugrah dan iman yang telah diukurkan kepada kita tuk melewati ini semua.
Jadi teringat kisah "Cara membersihkan sampah dari sumur yang dalam"
Sumur yang kotor dalamnya agar bisa dibersihkan hanya dengan cara menuang air bersih ke dalam airnya sampai air meluap dari sumur dan mengeluarkan semua kotorannya.
Hal tersebut berarti renungkan semua Firman dan pikiran yang sesuai Filipi 4:8

(CEV) Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.
(ITB) Jadi akhirnya, saudara-saudara, semua yang benar, semua yang mulia, semua yang adil, semua yang suci, semua yang manis, semua yang sedap didengar, semua yang disebut kebajikan dan patut dipuji, pikirkanlah semuanya itu.
(KJVR) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
(NIV) Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
(NKJV) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Jadi akhir kata, terus semangat tuk berjuang dari iniquity sampai mengalami kuasa kebangkitan seutuhnya dan menyatakan semuanya dalam doa dan pengucapan syukur. Buat teman-teman yang mengalami hal ini juga. ciayo.ganbatte! kita pasti bisa! Tetap semangat para pahlawan Allah!
